THE ART OF SKIP HILL
Skip Hill was born in 1961 in Padre Island, Texas, but grew up in Oklahoma City. At 12, Hill’s father, who collected prints from Black artists, introduced him to the art of Romare Bearden. Skip’s love of learning and his international travels have been instrumental in the development of his unique visual aesthetic. His art is a personal invitation to take a break from the everyday.

Hill believes that art carries deeper cultural weight — that seeing yourself reflected in painting, sculpture, or design builds self-respect and, as he puts it, "washes the dust off of life."
